to market to market ......

~   Brunch at the Adelaide Farmer's Market   ~

A real buzzy place and loved the way stall-holders
had set up their produce and eateries amid
an eclectic mix of  tables and chairs
topped with mugs of in-season blooms

pancakes - paella - biscotti - country bacons rolls
and the most wonderful Italian coffee

reminders of yesteryear .......

  Adelaide Hills   ~

there's something lovely about old pioneer buildings
Once residences with a bustling life of their own
now derelict with only memories remaining

blue skies over golden vines .......

~   Piccadilly Valley   Adelaide Hills   ~

.
I had a few hours to kill and so hopped in my little
Red Renault and headed for the hills
to check out the autumnal colours
The only downside to this spontaneous adventure
was that I was driver -navigator and photographer
which as you can imagine is not the best way to travel
along winding country lanes

I hope you like the pics !!

 ~  Newman's Nursery Rose Show   ~

wonderful old-fashion style roses
not only in form and colour but
in their delightful perfume

 bereft of it's sweetest charm"

pink skies and weathered boards ..........

~   Victor Harbor     Fleurieu Peninsula ~

this little jetty has seen better days
no longer useful for fishermen and bathers
but lovely to look at in the evening light

wishing my friends out in blog-land  a wonderful Easter season
filled with love- joy and chocolate!

Ode To Autumn ........

"season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
close bosom - friend of the maturing sun"

nestled in amid gnarled tree trunks

breakfast at the shed ..........

~   the market shed on Holland   ~

I love finding new foodie places in my city - and my latest find is this
fabulous little trendy market place in the south-west corner of our city square

perfect for catching up with friends for breakfast and a chat
then mozzy around amid the wealth of market produce

poached pears .........

while picking figs on the old Glen-Ewin Estate last week
a friend and I had the pleasure of tasting these glorious
poached pears in saffron and vanilla

they'll look great on a cheese platter the guy informed us
