Walk on the Wild Side ......

~   Morialta Gorge   ~
Past Giant's Cave, Red rock cliffs and finally I made it to
the base of First Falls.  That was far enough for me!!

This beautiful area is part of traditional lands of the
Kuama people who hunted possums bandicoots
kangaroos fish and lizards.
Decendants of these people still live here in our city of Adelaide

Picnic in Brittany ......

This lovely couple were enjoying a picnic
or as the French would say .... le Pique-Nique
Sooo... very French!!
Unfortunately it has been cold and wet in my corner of the world
and I've not been out with my camera
so today my posting is of a pic taken in June along the banks
of the River-Rance in Brittany France

Almost Spring .........

For us down here in the Southern hemisphere
Spring is almost knocking at our door
Grey and moody skies are giving way to
softer skies which have that pretty blush of pink.

Walking in the Rain .....

~   Australian native flora   ~

I hadn't planned to take a walk in the rain
but on driving past Morialta Conservation Park
on a very wild, wet and stormy day
I noticed a break in the clouds and decided to
take to the hills with brolly and camera in hand.
I soon forgot about hailstones and muddied boots
and delighted in the beauty of our native flora and fauna.

A cuddly koala bear nestled in and snoozing amid the eucalyptus gums   ~

There were many Koala's along the walking trails
and it occurred to me that they had most probably
made their way down closer to the floor of the park
in order to shelter from the high winds
