Cockle Train ........

Steam-Ranger's  -  "Duke of Edinburgh"  departing from Victor Harbour

All Aboard !!
This historic steam loco journeys about 12 kilometres along the edge of the
Great Southern Ocean to the quaint township of Goolwa
After a short walk around town it's re-boarding and then back
again with wonderful views looking out to sea.

We were sooo.... fortunate to spot beautiful Southern -Right whales cruising not far from the shore
who every now and again ( to our delight ) blew sprays of water from their dual blow-holes
a spectacular and unique sight and made for a wonderful Day-Out!

Camel on the Beach .....

~   Encounter Bay  ~

No! I'm not in Morocco or Algiers
but right here in South Australia

Unfortunately I missed the front camel's head
don't you just hate that!!
They made a wonderful splash of colour
along the beachfront on a very cold  & wintery day.

Atlantic Skies ...........

~   Somewhere along the north-west coast of France  ~

Soft skies over this very isolated residence.
When the tide comes in it's even more isolated
no quick trips to the corner store from here.

Palais Royal .........

~   Le Jardin du Palais Royal   ~

Where the Parsians come to sit quietly and ponder
read a little Balzac or Baudelaire or maybe just soak up the summer sun.

I always cringe a little when groups of tourists
arrive and invade their space ....
and then I remember -  I too am a tourist !

A Lazy Sunday Afternoon ......

Rue du Petit Fort - Dinan France

Something so peaceful about dogs snoozing in the sun
This French Madame was sitting outside her little
bric-a-brac-cum fleuriste boutique on a cobble-stoned lane
and kindly let me snap the happy scene.
