I fell in love with this rusty old mellow-yellow gate on the
Glen Ewin Estate property near Houghton in the Adelaide Hills
Its endearing qualities being lots of rust
coupled with intricate patterned spider silk
This estate was originally home to the famous Glen Ewin jam factory
which unfortunately ceased to operate in 1988
The buildings are now used as a function centre
and wine storage facility.
And where does this lane-way lead to ?
That's just it
I don't know !!

Romantic, poetry and mysterious! Love it!
Yes I love seeing rusty old gates too, as must many others or there would not be so many around!
A magical gate! Love those cobwebby scrolls! Intriguing beauty! Gorgeous photos!
You have a good eye, Dianne. I like the way you composed each of these images.
What a beautiful gate! You captured it so well. Thanks so much for sharing your photos. The last one, I think, is my favorite.
Great captures, nicely composed, Dianne! The gate almost looks golden in some of these shots.
Lovely composition, particularly the bottom one. You've got a good eye.
Even attacked by rust, this is an elegant gate!
Simple Brilliance
Needs some painting but still pretty.
Beautiful captures.
Mellow Yellow, have a nice week ahead!
Rustic beauty.
Hearty Yellow, come see.
I do like wrought iron, especially when it is rusty and covered with silken thread.
It's a beauty.
Beautiful captures. Have a fabulous week.

Absolutely marvellous captures Dianne!
Though it is covered with rust, the style looks great and retained its elegance.

I believe there is a saying that "If you rest you rust". If only we could rust so elegantly.
You just reminded me of Neil Young's "Rust never slesps"! The idea of a jam factory is very interesting...
The gate's great but the undergrowth is another matter ... I've got rather too much undergrowth like that in my garden ... creeping across the the neighbours.
It's such a beautiful rusty old gate Dianne, perfect starting place for....??
The gate is very nice, similar to our gate to the garden, but in black and not rusty, lol !
Nice design!
Colorful puzzle is my entry, please come and see. Have a great week.
